its wrong: in order to cancel out, the bottom must be exactly the same as the top. (it’s a basic exponential law)
in this case the top is being square rooted, and therefore cannot be canceled out by two, as the square root of 2 is not the same as 2.

Isn’t square root of two irrational? So it’d be pretty impossible to do that unless you use estimation. But still this is pretty epic. =D
